Top 10 Wrost Songs of the Year So Far

(That are ineligible for my year-end count down)

So I decided yeah won't ever hear these songs again so I might just tackle them now. To be a song eligible for this list it needs to: either not have charted that high or have a short life on the charts.

  • - "Look At My Dab" - Migos
"Dabbing" is referenced 98 times! That literally speaks for itself. It is not as fu*kin' horrible as Migos' other attempts at destroying the hip-hop industry (Versace, Fight Night, Pipe It Up) but that's not a compliment either. Also the line "You ni**as should get a Grammy, the way you actin" is just misinformed.
  • - "Dessert" - Dawin ft. Silent
Wow Darwin, you made the worst drop/one of the worst EVER.
  • - "Team" - Iggy Azalea
Wow Iggy, this is worst then Pretty Girls. How?
  • - "Acquainted" - The Weeknd
Wow The Weeknd, you dropped the ball again.
  • - "Watch Out" - 2 Chainz
Wow 2 Chainz, this is you absolute worst single to date.
  • - "Really Really" - Kevin Gates
Wow Kevin, #IDGT was great but this song is so baad.
  • - "Cut It" - O.T. Genasis ft. Young Dolph
Wow O.T. Genasis (nice name btw), this is somehow even worse than "CoCo".
  • - "Good To Be Alive (Hallelujah)" - Andy Grammer
WOW Andy, did you really try to make something worse than "Honey, I'm Good."?
  • - 'Lean & Dabb" - iLoveMemphis
How can you make a song worse than "Hit the Quan"?
  • -  "Hollow" - Tori Kelly | Debuted: Jan 02 | Peak: #68
Wow Tori, this song is

Highlights on the Romanian TOP 100 OF 2015

These are just a few opinions on some songs from THE ROMANIAN CHART - TOP 300 OF 2015. And no, I'm not going to cover all the top 300 just the top 100 because it wouldn't be fair, we have like a top 300 while others are having only a top 100. Also I'm not gonna cover every Romanian song because most of them don't really inspire me that much to write about them or I'm indifferent to them, same with the other songs too.

We had a remix of a Disclosure song as the biggest hit of the year.

03.Major Lazer feat. Mo & DJ Snake – Lean On
Third biggest song. Ain’t complaining AT ALL.

04.Nicky Jam feat. Enrique Iglesias – El Perdon
Romania really loves Enrique Iglesias’ music. I hate his music a lot.

We love shitty EDM too.
Best song of the year.
Our own Talk Dirty rip off.
Years & Years are pretty good.

There’s a Fetty Wap remix to this song!
Pretty awesome
Wow, this is one of the most amazing songs of 2015. BY BEYONCE!
OMG, STILL ON THE CHARTS, PLEASE KILL ME.
I like it to be honest.
Everybody gealous now.

41.David Guetta & Sam Martin – Dangerous
I like the song but the “sugar” rhyme always throws me off.
This is pretty good.

44.The Avener
feat. Kadebostany – Castle In The Snow
Great, tight, you should check out The Avener for sure.
F***, f***, f***, f***!
Wow, f*** this shit.
Romania likes Latin music a lot.
This is amazing.
This is pretty good to be honest.
This sounds pretty well.
Jackpot, 2 Nicky Jam songs on the year end chart.
Connect-R was a great rapper but he sold out. Though this is pretty good.

This is pretty good.

64.Dillon Francis feat. DJ Snake – Get Low
Biggest banger of the year.

65.AronChupa – I'm An Albatraoz
Awful, but I enjoy it.

Wow, this drop sounds death.
Still?! In all honesty this is pretty good.

Pretty good.

74.Matteo – Gândesc Cu Voce Tare
Matteo is like the worst Romanian artist (excluding Manele artists). This rips off the the Talk Dirty formula also.
F***ThisSong, F***ThisSong, F***ThisSong
This was Romania’s submission song for Eurovision, and this song is amazing, in Romanian.
Connect–R, while a sellout, can still make some great songs.
A Libyan singer, who got it big in Romania with a hit in Italian. Interesting.
This is so tight.

85.Peter Pop & Lora – Singuri În Doi
Lora is like the worst, but she can make some good songs from time to time.

Rip off of her previous hit.

88.Alina Eremia – Played You
This beat is so awful.

89.Ami – Playa En Costa Rica
Ami is amazing even though this song isn’t.

91.Feli – Creioane Colorate
Pretty good song.

I don’t like Jeremih, at all.
Love this song also, Kygo = 🔥.

99.Major Lazer feat. Ellie Goulding & Tarrus Riley – Powerful
Everybody gealous now, again.

March 12, 2016: A Top 100 review

It's very meh

Now this is something I don't think I'll do very often on this blog but I thought I might try once or twice a month (or season depends). Not a great week again. Nothing changed from the past week other than a few rises and falls. It is an ok week. Not bad not good.

Vroom Vroom EP: an album review

Artist: Charli XCX
Release: 26 February 2016
Producer: SOPHIE
Genre: bubblegum bass, experimental pop, trap, electronic
Label: Vroom Vroom Recordings
Length: 12:19

So Skrillex is popular now, that's a shame. With what can I annoy the neighbours if I don't have Skrillex's dubstep. Because what he does now is making tamed beats for JUSTIN BLIEBER. We need a new voice, somebody polarizing and experimental who makes great music. Somebody like SOPHIE.

So, last year a producer, SOPHIE, became hugely popular because of his production style and uniqueness and caught the attention of Charli XCX, for whom he produced this album. Now, as a joke I thought that Charli XCX after making a synthpop album and a pop-rock album will make an experimental hip-hop, trap inspired album. I was totally right on that.

So now, as somebody uninformed and dumb I listened to this EP without any background and thought that was a piece of shit but after I listened to it a couple of times I really like it. I almost love, it is bound to be a very very polarizing review but yeah I'll defend it any day. It is really good in my opinion.

1. Vroom Vroom
Charli's rapping is so cringe worthy, and all the build-up is destroyed by the pre-chorus and OMG the Vroom Vroom effect is so bad and that "Beep beep" is just laughable. But this song is so perfect in all it's messiness. This is the hardest hitting song on the EP besides Trophy.
Quotable: "Beep beep, so let's ride"
Track rating: 10/10

2. Paradise ft. Hannah Diamond

The "Charli XCX ft. Alvin & The Chipmunks" comparison is really warranted. Hannah Diamond is a fantastic singer, why did they feel the need to use the chipmunk voice effect? Though the effect is really irritating, it isn't too long the song really sounds indeed like Paradise. The drop is absolutely amazing, Hannah's verse is so sweet, and the beat was such an organic build-up and the outro is wonderful.
Quotable: "Tonight, we're in paradise/Soaring through the sky/Seeing pink and white/Yeah, we can make it right"
Track rating: 9.5/10

3. Trophy
The beat is reminds me of the beat of Run the World (Girls), which I hate A LOT. But this song is actually really awesome. It is a banger (strange that this EP has more bangers than the album titled as Bangerz). This build-up of the pre-hook is so up lifting, and the beat that runs throw the verses is so hard-hitting.
Quotable: "Your B keep it bink and we bossy/Hey, it's like I told you, song number one"
Track rating: 10/10

4. Secret (Shh)
Finally we have the album's closer.  And it isn't as good as the others (maybe because it's co-produced by somebody else). This is more subdue and more sensual, not as hard hitting as the others or as fun as the others, but indeed still great.

Quotable: "No one gets to know 'bout, shh"
Track rating: 8.5/10

Overall, on Friday I hated this EP, and in two days I came to the conclusion that I think it is actually awesome. Yeah, you may hate the album but you still need to agree that this is very much to strange for you. It is an experimental genre. I'm sure people hated thrash-metal in the '70s as well.

Stream it, download it or buy it?: Stream it, if you enjoy what you hear go buy it because this kind of genre needs support.

Best songs: Vroom Vroom, Trophy, Paradise
Worst song: Secret (Shh)
Album rating: 9/10
